Key projects for Ngāti Paoa are defined and encompassed by the seven ‘well-beings’ below - Economic wellbeing – (PaoaWhaiRawa) Commercial wellbeing – (PaoaPanihi), Cultural wellbeing – (Paoa ‘Tanga’) , Environmental wellbeing – (PaoaTaiao) Spiritual wellbeing – (PaoaIhi) Social wellbeing – (Paoa Ora) Political Wellbeing – (Paoa Mana) Ultimately, our key projects must provide tangible benefit and added value to Ngāti Paoa. Therefore, adding value to the Settlement on all levels not just financially or commercially but on a ‘wholistic’ level that ensures we are able to grow the settlement Our Key projects must also be consistent with our vision and principles, namely – Vision ‘Paoakiuta, Paoaki tai, Paoakitua’ (Paoa to the land, Paoa to the sea, Paoa to the future) Principles Tika, Pono, Aroha (Do what is right, the right way!)
