​Te Ohu Kaimoana (the Māori Fisheries Trust) and Japanese seafood company Nippon Suisan Kaisha (Nissui) are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2018 Global Fisheries Scholarship.


We are looking for Māori who have studied or work in fisheries management, aquaculture, marine biology, business management and fisheries or food processing and are looking at a career in the seafood industry.  Applications close 5.00pm on Friday 10 February 2017.  Click here to apply.

The Tāmaki Herenga Waka Festival is delivered by Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development (ATEED), on behalf of Auckland Council, in partnership with the mana whenua of Tāmaki Makaurau.

Youth Fund 2017 applications now open

​Applications are now open for Youth Fund 2017, which makes $150,000 available for community initiatives led by young people, Acting Youth Minister Anne Tolley announced today.
 
Individual applications under Youth Fund 2017 can be made for amounts between $2,000 and $7,000.
“This is a great opportunity for young people to develop their own skills, while at the same time contributing to their community,” says Mrs Tolley.
Applications for Youth Fund 2017 close at midday on Friday 18 November 2016

Nominations are now open for PMYP 2017.  Held annually since 2010, the programme is for young people aged 14 to 17 who have faced, and are managing, challenges in their lives.  The next programme will be held 23 to 27 January 2017
 and is open to young people who live, work or attend school in Central, South, or West and parts of East Auckland. PMYP is a wonderful opportunity for you to recognise young people who have demonstrated strength of character to make positive and life-changing choices in their lives.
