PRIME MINISTER’S YOUTH PROGRAMME (PMYP) 2017
Nominations are now open for PMYP 2017. Held annually since 2010, the programme is for young people aged 14 to 17 who have faced, and are managing, challenges in their lives. The next programme will be held 23 to 27 January 2017 and is open to young people who live, work or attend school in Central, South, or West and parts of East Auckland. PMYP is a wonderful opportunity for you to recognise young people who have demonstrated strength of character to make positive and life-changing choices in their lives.
I would like to invite you to nominate any student who has made positive steps in their life. This may include them moving away from low-level offending or truancy, or improving their academic performance over a sustained period of time. The nominee should be someone who would benefit from the experience and the positive connections the programme offers.
The nomination process will be open until Wednesday 26 October 2016. I have included a flyer, nomination form and some frequently asked questions to assist you with this process or visit our website. If you would like further information about PMYP 2017 please contact me, the Programme Coordinator at the Ministry of Youth Development at firstname.lastname@example.org alternatively call 0508 FOR MYD (367 693).
We look forward to receiving your nominations. Please pass this on to any other colleagues or organisations you feel could have young people who are eligible for the programme.
